How I Work
-
I help you to step back and look at two key questions-
What do you want to be different as a result of our sessions?
What needs to be in place to make this possible and sustainable?
Then we put it in place with accountability and challenge- one step at a time.
-
I believe in ambition- but not at the cost of your health or happiness.
I believe in accountability but with self compassion at its heart- I detest shame- it serves no purpose.
I believe thriving occurs when you stop trying to do everything and choose where you want to use your energy- intentionality is key.

Coaching has been a thread running through my career for over fifteen years — long before I formally trained or accredited.
I began coaching informally in 2010 while supporting the introduction of a coaching culture within HM Prison Service. At the time, I was working in complex, high-pressure environments where leadership resilience was not a “nice to have” — it was essential. What struck me early on was how powerful structured, reflective conversation could be in unlocking better judgement, calmer decision-making and more sustainable leadership behaviours.
As an HR Business Partner, including within the Cabinet Office, I worked closely with senior leaders — many transitioning from the private sector into government. They were highly capable individuals, but often found themselves struggling with ambiguity, scrutiny, political complexity and a very different pace of influence. My role frequently extended beyond traditional HR support into confidential, developmental coaching: helping leaders recalibrate, rebuild confidence, and lead effectively in unfamiliar systems.
For the past three years, I have coached on a cross-government leadership programme, supporting senior and high-potential leaders navigating complexity, scale and personal transition. In November 2024, I completed my Level 7 ILM accreditation in Executive Coaching and Mentoring, and I am now working towards ICF accreditation — deepening both my professional rigour and reflective practice.
Alongside this, I have become an accredited Burnout-Aware Coach through training with Kelly Swingler. This work integrates my professional experience with lived insight, enabling me to recognise the early physiological, cognitive and behavioural indicators of chronic stress that often go unnoticed in high performers.
